I have an 86 full size and found a wrecked 89 at a salvage yard, does anyone know if 89 hood will fit 86 or where to at least look to find that information? The guy at the salvage yard said it would but when i showed upto look at it he looked like he had smoked a few too many that day.

I don't think the 89 hood will fit your 86, so look for one from a 1980-1986 model Bronco or F-series pick-up. The 87-91 hoods are the same but only fit those year models. The difference is in the radiator core support, JSM84

Like JSM said, you would need to change the entire front clip to make it work. The only piece that interchanges is the cowling piece in front of the windshield, a good choice if you are tired of crap getting into the air ducts. I did that change to mine because I was tired of leaves, maple seads, etc. The 87 cowling changes the design from large slots to small holes for the air intake.

Good luck,

:)>-
