/ I fixed it, I fixed it...LOL.
The vehicle has not overheated on me at all!!! Woohoo...$60 later. I replaced the:
Radiator Cap
Upper Radiator Hose
Flushed the System
Reflushed the System
Replaced the Heater Hose
What I discovered...it's normal for Fords to be a little low on the fluid (not as low as it was but for what I'm seeing now).
The "white" smoke from what I can tell is directly related to the carb. The carb is another long story...has something to do with the pin that is supposed to be in the float. Anyways, I'm not sure how to fix that because the carb has been rebuilt twice I think. Pin wouldn't go in either time. So the "backfire" ...well more like a pop is from the carburetor trying to flood while sitting...when it's flooded that's when we get the "white" smoke.
The carb is supposed to have an electric choke but right now it has a manual choke. So what would be the best way to fix this so it won't flood itself?
Right now I'll put it in neutral and let the higher idle burn the gas off (works like a charm but I bet the people behind me hate it...lol).
I'm going to end up keeping this thing yet and that would mean big trouble for me!!!
I hope I haven't confused anyone.
