I just ordered my new hydroboost system from Hydratech. I should have it in by next weekend. The best thing is that it comes w/EVERYTHING you will need. For $600 its due to make far more stopping power than stock. Here's the link if anyone is interested...

Ask for Paul Clark. He is the man to talk to about this setup.

thank you for posting this. my bronco is hard to stop with 40's. i'll have to look further into this vs. converting to rear disc brakes.

definitley man, I was in the same boat as you, but after talking to paul, he took the time and explained it to me why it realy was just a waste of money by doing the converison to disc brakes. Give em a buzz, trust me you wont find service like this anywhere. I just cant wait to get her and put er' on.

can't see rear brakes doing that much considering they only do 30% of the braking any way. hydro is the better way cause it puts the pressure where it would be more usefull

Im thinking that there is better things to spend money on ( my opinion ) There is absolutely nothing wrong with 4 wheel disk brakes they fuction very well every time the brakes are applied there is a tremendous amount of heat generated at the pads disk are open and therefore alot of airflow around them to cool them for the next time the pedal is applied . I am not a fan of drum brakes theres alot more parts and there inside a drum which leaves no place for the heat to go . I dont care what kinda booster system you put on this type of system if it cant get rid of the heat it will fail plain and simple yeah it pushes harder but that generates more heat where does that heat go ? How long till the drums start glowing ? Stock superdutys may use this stsyem or one like it but almost everyone I have looked at has 4 wheel disk brakes . I made the rear disk conversion for my 91 with a dana 60 full floater and it uses the front dual piston calipers from the same year and they are fully capable of locking up 39/18/16.5 mickey thompsons let see drums do that . As for the only doing 30 % of the braking depends on how you set the system up an adjustable proportion valve is not very much money and lets you control how much pressure goes to the front and back . A salesman is going to tell you whatever he has to to sell you that kit its his job but if drums brakes were as good or equivelant to disk why dont you see any high performance street cars with 4 wheel drum ? or even rear drum for that matter . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
