i just found out that my frunt hubs are shot (manual lock) and what should have been an easy and cheap repair will cost me about 600 in parts >:) it seems that the only bronco with these hubs was late 87 thru early 88 and guess what mine is an early 88  instead of set screws it is held on by the wheels and lugnuts any one else had this problem and know iether where to get aftermarket parts to iether replace them (same style) or a way to switch them to normal type manual locks

You need to find an axle that had manual lockouts on it that bolted on . Take everything from the spindle out and bolt it onto yours . Those style hubs werent used long and are very expensive . If you cant find all the parts you need I can probably help ya out . I believe I have a complete axle I can get all the parts off of . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Check out Jeff's Bronco Graveyard catalog ofr 80 and up. Also LMC truck has them. Unless there is something else destroyed, 600 sounds outrageous :(( . You can call them at 248-437-5060 or 248-846-1760 during normal business hours. The last time i called them I believe their office was somewhere in the mid west. They are quite helpfull and if you explain your problem to them, they will get you the right parts.

Good luck,

:)>-

Pretty much yeah thats the way it is . The spindle may be the same but the hub and everything from there out needs to be changed . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

From looking in Jeff's 80 and up catalog, it looks like you will have to do the spindles also. In that case the $600.00 number for new parts was about right. You might want to take Blades offer. I just rebuilt my front end from the knuckles out, including dust shields, and that is about what I spent for new parts from Jeff's.

Good luck,

:)>-

I can sell you a set of the stock hubs for $90 bucks shipped. if interested email [email protected]

But the best way to permenantly fix it is to swap over to "regular" hubs
