I'm getting ready to put my new tires on (33'' **** Cepek Crusher's) with no lift... but I just want to make sure I know how to do this before I put them on and realize they rub.

Yeah, I know 33''s should fit stock, but a lot of different people have a lot of different results. Like, tread pattern... the more aggressive patterned lugs seem to give the problems... and since mine are pretty darn aggressive (just going by looks, don't know how they do yet) I have a feeling I'll rub.

I have 32''s on right now and there is still a ton of space, but they're almost bald so that adds to it.

Ok, back to the subject...

You just unbolt the front bumper, put some washers underneath the bracket and slide the bumper forward on the bracket?

Am I right, or does someone else have a better method?

Exactly how hard is it to do, and do I need someone to help support the bumper?

Thanks for the help, as it is always appreciated!

yo!

Had to space-out our 96 w/just GY ATS 32's....

Used a few SS washers... I had my sons do the work at the time..very ez...used a dremel w/wire brush to clean nut/bolt threads and PB Blaster; use saw horses, big dogs, or anythAng that doesn't move... to help you DIY

& used Dremel to trim bumper valence. moved bumper about 1/2" forward

it's relatively easy to do. just get some heavy duty bolts and shim the bumper by sliding the washers on the bolts. if memory serves me right, there are 4. it will take you a while to get it right so buy a few bolts of different lenghts. i'd recommend 2 people to do it because that bumper gets heavy quick, and whoever is underneath will not want to get up and down to look at the bumper everytime you add a washer. i did this on my 93 F-150 to space it out a couple of inches from the front edge of the fender. i'm trying to find some pics, but not having much luck right now.
