Ok, the Bronco has had the check engine light on since i've owned it and i've never ran the codes. I can't drive it on the hwy yet and i don't know anybody with a scan tool to check them. Isn't there a way to check them manually using a key or something and counting the number of blinks on the light?? I used to have a 93 Yukon and checked them this way. I'm not too familiar with the OBD 1 stuff. If this is true, where can i get a key or is there something else i can use to check them. Thanks

AUTOZONE LOL just kiddin but it would be best its free and they will give you a printout of the results and how to fix it. Otherwise you can use a paperclip to cross the diagnostic plugins then count the flashes. Then take the counts to someone who has a code book then look it up. By the way the diagnostic plug in is located by the air filter in the wiring harness. My suggestion is take it to autozone or advanced auto parts.

only thing i'm having trouble with is the KOER check. I know what to do as far as pushing the brake pedal, turning o/d on and off..., but i don't know when to do it, so i keep getting user error codes. Not to mention the 10 other codes it's throwing.
