how does the oil pan come out.

Hey guys and girls,

I changing the oil pump in a 95 bronco and was wondering how do I go about remove the oil pan from the vehicle.

You will have to lift or raise the whole motor a few inches, enough sothat the pan clears the center crossmember.

If you want to remove the oilpan without taking the engine out you have to remove the hood, intake plenum, undo the exhaust and motormounts, unhook the upper and lower radiator hoses. After that raise the engine up as far as you can. That should give you enough room to remove the oilpan. Once you get the oilpan unbolted you have to remove the oilpump. then you can get the pan out. It only takes about a day if you have a friend and a case of beer.

Just thought of this today, you might have to unbolt the tranny mount, and take the tranny crossmember out, i think that was how i did it. Probably would have been easier to just take the engine out though
