Sure you can get it off. Just remove the trim sections around the inside edge and remove the bolts. I'm not sure what year they did it, but newer models require a secure Torx to remove a couple of them. You can get that at Sears, it is a Torx with a recess in the center to allow the bolt *** to fit in.

Good luck,

92+ require "tamper proof" torxs, if i remember right t-40 take the trim off and the bolts will be there and dont forget to unhook the wiring harness for the brake light

where in florida are you? first you have to plug in your sawzall and get some safety goggles. then start cutting right in between where the top appears to attach. know that once you do this, there is not going back. you must buy a soft top and junk your hard top.

In reality, all you have to do is remove the plastic trim pieces inside the cabin and unscrew the torx bits holding the sucker down. mark the trim and bolts in seperate baggies so you dont get them confused. then lift the top off. you can do it by yourself, but it weighs about 120 pounds, so having a friend will help your back out tremendously. when you store it, make sure you take care of the weatherstripping on the mating surface. it will let the top seal once you re-install it.

Them things are a pain in the ass I would suggest that once you get them broke loose a couple turns to spray some penetrating oil under the head so it runs down to the threads or else they will sqeak and feel like there goona twist off the whole way and there very long . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

of course the top comes off, remove the trim and unbolt the torx bolts and it ought to come off. Use two people to remove the top or you'll have one **** of a back ache and something broken.
