hotstart problem

I have a 93 ford bronco w/5.8L 169,000 miles. It becomes hard starting after it warms up. When it is cold it is bumpstart, after getting warm and sitting for a half an hour or so you have to crank on it for a while. It acts like it is starving for fuel. I thought that maybe the fuel was bleeding back into the tank so i replaced the fuel pump. I have also replaced egr valve and sensor, done a complete tune up on it, and it is still giving me problems. This is the first fuel injected vehicle i've ever owned, so if someone can help me with this i would greatly appreciate it

Have you changed the fuel filter?

Also have you moved any of the lines or removed any "heat shields" from around the fuel lines?

I changed the filter, when i changed the pump. No heat shields have been removed.

The best thing to do is check/have a shop check the fuel pressure. The f.p. regulator may be going bad, or you have a bad relay in the circuit to the f.p. reg. or fuel pumps. You have two pumps, one inside the tank and one on the frame rail. IF either pump is not working right, it can also lead to low pressure or fuel starvation. A Haynes or Chilton repair manual will show how to check the fuel system, too.

I figured out my problem, i think. IACV was bad. Haven't had a problem with it in two days, so hopefully i fixed the problem.
