ok this started happening as soon as i hit 100,000 milies, put the highbeams on, go to turn them off and i have no head lights, i jiggle the lever around and i have low beams. I'm figuring the switch is bad but my question is.......is the blinker switch and the switch for the beams all in one? I'm used to the older broncos with the switch on the floor which is cake to change. And, being that mine is in the column, how hard is it going to be to pull it apart?

its a sinch to change the signal switch in the column. pull the bottom cover off, like four screws, and two more screws hold the switch it self in. then unplug and kinda "jiggle" it out lol

its really pretty easy tho....

ok i changed it but still have the problem, but i noticed if i turn the head lights off and then back on they come back on, could this be a bad headlight switch causing my problem?

If that doesnt do it, id lean toward your ignition switch if it is as worn out as mine lol, im have all kinds of accessory blips. windows will roll up and down with the key off, the dimmer switch wont dim shit, lol. sometimes the cab lights come on. its fine tho unless its broken i aint fixin it lol

yeah, it was the headlight switch, ive come to conclusion that the 2 switches work together, the one on the column turns on the highbeam, but then tells the headlight switch to turn off the low beams, so in a sense the contacts or something of that nature went bad in the OE headlight switch, so all fixed and back on the road YAY!
