. I just joined today. I dont have a Bronco but I had one a few years ago. I'm a soldier in Iraq and will be buying another Bronco when I get home. I'm thinking of a late model, deffinatly 4x4, and V8 of course. That's what my last one was and I miss that ol girl. I've been workin on my wish list, so far it looks like a good deal of the $ I'm saving over here might be going to the new Bronco. That's the beauty of being single and owning your own home and land!!!!

Well I did a little poking around and think I will be spending a lot of time here once I get home since we dont get much internet time.

Yall take care now. See ya around now and then.

I'm near Harper twards the edge of the Hill Country. It's between Junction and Fredericksburg and a bit north of Kerrville. I love that area, my favorite part of Texas. Where abouts is Melissa?

Oh yea, and thanks for yall's 'welcome'!

I'm home for R&R and get to go look at a couple Bronco's tomorrow. If I drive one home I'll put up some pics and do a little bragging.

DOH! You've said that before. Well, I rememberd you saying you were in Bamma atleast. How much do you have left in your stint with the AF, or are you a lifer?

When I come back home from the box I'll be done, but I'll stay in with the reserves.

Well yall I've decided not to get me a Bronco. Instead I'll be fixing up my 84 F150 4x4. My 6" lift will be here tomorrow along with my 35's. Some other doodads I ordered should be showing up soon after (flowmasters, power window/locks kit, nerfbars, ect). When I get home for good (I'm just on R&R) I'll be replacing the 3rd members for lower gears and hopefully swap out the bed and ditch the stock stepside bed for a regular one. Then comes the joy of paining. Heck, I just might end up doing like SrATEX did. Hey man, that thing looks good! I like that bumper, is that the same one they sell on broncograveyard?

Anyways, even though I'm staying a pickup man I hope yall will let me stay here. There's lots of good info here and heck, my truck is practicaly a 2 piece bronco anyways (single cab short bed).

Well 150s and broncos are pretty much the exact same thing.

thanks for the compliment.

and yes that is the bronocgraveyard bumper.

I actually have just about 2 1/2 left of my current enlistement (6 year enlistment). I am actually reserves right now. My whole plan has been a career to begin with. However I thought I would be slick and sign reserves first to get college done before going active. Well out of 3-3 1/2 years of service, ive done maybe 4 months as a traditional reservist. Been on Active Duty for various reasons. Even did a stint in the sandbox earlier this year. So I am trying to switch to AD in about 8 months. (promised the fiancee i wont make the switch till after the wedding) But the AF is being asses saying no prior service accepted (in fact reenlistments have been denied. So I have been looking strongly at the Blue to Green program. Army runs in my blood i suppose. I am only the second member of my family in the AF, rest army/navy, and father just retired SFC in the EOD after 21 years. I got the requirements to be a Warrant. Just gotta take the AFAST. if i pass ill try to get a spot in WOCS, if i dont get either ill be a Helo crew chief, if i make the switch to the Army side of the house.

Usualy it's the other way around, soldiers turning airmen. Atleast with the way theyre doing it now you wont have to go through the entire basic training, just 2 or 3 weeks worth I think.

I think WOCS is the way to go. I had a buddy who just left for WOCS, he'll make a good Chief. If you go to the Army Reserve there's a civil affairs unit from Sam Houston. I dont know if they have any aviation assets but it could bring you back home. I know Ft Hood has a reserve aviatoin (chinnook) unit, not sure if Sam Houston does, I only know of that civil affairs unit, got a buddy who's a 1ST with them.

I plan on going active duty sometime in the near future. Been my plan from the age of 5. I would love to go to WOCS. But gotta get past a couple tests and a board.

Yeah the Blue to green is nice with the familiarization course instead of basic. which is 4 weeks long.
