Need some help, both the rear antilock brake light yellow and brake light red stay on.

I have had a bad vibration problem after I did a 4" lift, so I thought I put the rear springs with shimes on wrong. So I turn the shims around and took it for a ride :-" WRONG thing to do, after awhile I stop and put the E-Brake on, after I released the E-brake, the lights came on and the rear brakes locked up. Got it home and flipped the shimes back around to what I had the first time and all was good for alittle while, than the light came back on. No brake issues, so I was wondering what I should check first? I did some reading but got no idea where to start? The Vibration I figured is either the angle of driveshaft or bad joints. It's bad at 25 to 35 MPH. Thanks for any and all help.

0:) i dno about that whole shim thing and all that, but one reason your lights might be on is u might have broken one of your speed sensor wires, the speed sensor is located above the pinion twards the top of the rear, FYI my brake lights have been on for about 3 years now, ford sais it isnt even anything to worry about cuz all it means is that the rear antilock wont work, i didnt even kno they had antilock, and who cares anyway, when your offroad...who the **** wants antilock, cuz you couldnt powerbrake then

Hey, I got the same light problem with a bone stock 91. I've gone through front pads every 5000 miles or so. It seems to me, my rear brakes are not working. I've tried to bleed out the problem, and no luck. Some one here said to disconect the battery but that didn't help either. If the ABS wire is broke, is there a valve or switch that sends the brake fluid to the front? On my old truck there was a proportionating valve the would switch the brake fluid front/rear as needed and also signal the brake light to come on. Brian

i dunno about any switch, but i kno abs light or not my rear brakes work..being that its pretty impossible for them not to, and if u wear pads down that quick, they might be sticking or your springs are too weak to retract...
