Help with gear ratios

Is there anyone who could tell me what the stock gear ratio that came on 89 bronco with the 5.0 engine?

Providing the gears have never been changed, you can find that info in two places on your truck; 1. there should be a tag on the differential. 2. The axle code on the safety compliance sticker located on the driver side rear door post.

Tell us what they say, and we can tell you what the gear ratio is. If the gearing has been changed then there is still a way to check it.

Like Seabronc posted, the door sticker or axle ID tag will give you some numbers that are codes for the gear ratio. The center-section of the twim-traction-beam front axle will also have a tag with similar info. Most common is a 3.55:1 ratio, with a door sticker axle code of I9/19 or H9.
