Getting ready to go back on with the new exhaust manifolds and intake manifold. Do these gaskets require a sealant. I have gone back in with studs in the head. Could not find a torque sequence for the efi all I see is for carb, and the bolt count is different. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Yo!

Just got done helping my friend with his 4.9L, new gasket, no sealant. didn't follow a torque sequence. No leaks! no issues.

Good call on using studs as this should make the job hanging these parts much easier then we had it. Took two of us to get the job done. We did put anti-seize on the threads of the bolts.

Torque tightening sequence is on page 2a-8 in the haynes manual. Digital version available here.
