i recently had a problem with water in my fuel. i found that problem in the throttle body cooler as you can see below, and fixed the problem, truck ran great but it tore a plug wire. so i bought a new set and replaced them. now the truck will not start at all. it just turns over and over. i tried a new icm, nothing. the onlything i can think of that i did differently is that i used dielectric grease. i did put it everywhere a plugwire connects including dist. cap probes and ignition coil ******. is there a rule against putting it on either of those???? i am at wits end. it is my daily driver and i have a family. this is our only car. i m this close to driving it off a cliff. please help. thanks, jacob

Jacob,

I think that one CAN overdo dielectric grease. By its name one would think that it conducts electrcity, yet I have read that it does not. It is my understanding that it should be used to waterproof connections like th erubber boots to the pulg wires, and to very lightly coat the connectors themselves to protect them from oxidation, but that the components should not be gobbed with it.
