The front forward shocks don't have a flat top to keep the shaft from turning while I try to remove the top nut.. any ideas how to remove em?

I have no idea how to keep it steady while I loosen the bolt.. the front, behind axle shocks have a 10mm flat top to keep the shock from moving while I remove the nut..

Any ideas?!??

You can use ViseGrip pliers to hold the end of the shock stub while loosening the nut, or grab the shock body with a lrage pair of ChannelLock pliers. JSM84

Well I tried the vise grips.. after a short while, the bolt broke off so that was good.

I am very very ticked off right now though.. I had to get six shocks. Two of each. Shock 911036 is labled "forward of front axle" and 911034 is labled "After front axle"

I got the two mixed up.. the forward of front axle is actualy behind the front axle..and the after front axle is actualy infront of it, if you're standing infront of the truck looking at the windsheild..
