Hi Everyone,

My name is Josh. I live in Redlands, CA. I'm new to BroncoZone but not to Broncos and definitely not to forums. I run a small network of reptile forums as a side business. In my opinion, forums are an integral part of the internet. I love the real sense of community and the expert advice you can get from others who just want to help.

Anyway, my father bought a full-size 4x4 Ford Bronco 302 in 1986. He drove it as a daily driver until I got my license in 2002 when it became my daily driver. When I graduated from college I replaced the ol' Bronco and it went to storage with over 300,000 miles on it (with an original, not-rebuilt transmission too!). Now that I have a bit more spare time on my hands, I've decided it's time to dust her off and get her all cleaned up and running again.

I still have to get the truck towed out to where I live now, so I don't have any specific questions yet but I'm really looking forward to starting this project and I couldn't wait to find a quality Bronco community online.

Looking forward to many Bronco discussions,

Josh

p.s. The attached photo is a tiny one. I'll have more to post later - when I find them. In this photo I took my friends and their band on tour from So Cal to Kansas and back.

Welcome to the zone! Pretty cool that you hung on to it and didn't get rid of it.

Thanks! Yah, both my dad and I got pretty attached to that truck. It's great for camping, fishing, road trips, pretty much anything you can throw at it! It's just not very easy on the wallet to drive daily...

yo Josh,

WELCOME!

Hopefully, the fuel sys was drained and all other fluids/filters were changed when y'all put it in storage; I'd go thru all incl filters before cranking it over.

This is by Ford; Upper Case is by Ford,

"NOTE: DURING EXTENDED PERIODS OF VEHICLE STORAGE (60 DAYS OR MORE), GASOLINE MAY DETERIORATE DUE TO OXIDATION. THIS CAN DAMAGE RUBBER AND OTHER POLYMERS IN THE FUEL SYSTEM SUCH AS CARBURETOR ACCELERATOR PUMP, DIAPHRAGMS, AND CARBURETOR INLET VALVES. IT MAY ALSO CLOG SMALL ORIFICES. DIESEL FUEL DETERIORATION IN THE FORM OF FUEL SEPARATION, SLUDGE FORMATION, AND BACTERIAL GROWTH CAN CAUSE RESTRICTIONS IN FUEL SUPPLY LINES, FILTERS, AND STICKING OF FUEL INJECTION COMPONENTS."

btw, Jeff at the Bronco Graveyard has offered a 2% discount to members of The BroncoZone for on line orders. To get your discount, enter the discount code BZMEMBER. Also you must include your BroncoZone User Name with the order.

Hey Josh, welcome.

Funny how these trucks grow on people. I have heard of few that sold them, and usually only to buy another one.

Good Luck with your project.
Also, stories where people have sold them, then wish they had kept them.
