Thanks for the welcomes. been scraping rust all nite! trying rust-mort (recomended by a buddy). don't have high hopes for it. Noticed Fred u are north of nyc. I am about 30 ~ 40 mi north of the City. Great forum. I dont have decent pics but will try to get some tommorrow.
That might slow it down but you can never win I just spent a year and a half removing rusted metal and replacing it with new. I expect to get another 10 years out of her, if I keep up with the rust as it shows up. If you are interested, take a look at my gallery.
Fred-Nice looking bronco - my buddy has one similar but its an 87. What I meant was scraping rust from underneath - po had sprayed "rust stop" on the shock towes & coil springs years ago. it peeled right off and did NOT protect from rust. may have to replace them soon. typical tailgate rot too but it wouldn't be a bronco without it!
thanks again for thre welcomes. am still working out a few kinks on my bronc... replaced mirror, cleaned MAF seensor - will probably need new one, had front end re-alined - great shop in Montrose NY, and fixed some other little stuff that the po messed up. will get a few pics posted soon. great forum.
