I just rebuilt the 351w in my 94 Bronco and it's running great with plenty of power. My problem is as soon as I turn my heater on in blows my fuse. It's not fun driving to work when it's 5:30am and 34 outside. Anyone have any idea what's going on here? I've checked all the wires going to the unit that are under the hood and found nothing. Any help would be great! thanks!

Try unplugging the connector and turning the switch on. If that works, you know what to do next :-" .

Good luck,

:)>-

The only way it will blow fuses is if the power wire is grounding on something. You will need to trace it from the switch to the heater motor. A quick fix until it warms up you can just run a jumper wire from the switch to the motor, to bypass the short.

I would also check the blower motor itself if all else fails. The bearings could be fried and causing an overload on your fuse when the motor tries to engage.

pull the blower motor out and the blower motor resistor out try sucking all the debris that collects in there out with a shop vac it can cause the resister to get very hot and even start a fire

and what are you complaining about we might get a heat wave over the weakend and hit 32 for the last few days its been around 10 or less need to start the truck at 5:30 to ave some weak heat when I leave around 6
