I'm swapping in a 460 and the c-6 to go with it my question is will the tranny hook up to my bw 13-45 and is the 13-45 even that good of transfer case? The C-6 is of the 2 wheel drive variety right now and I also need to know what parts I need to make this combo work. Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks alot

A 4wheel-drive C-6 will bolt up to the B-W 13-45 t-case, but the 2WD C-6 has a different tailshaft. The 13-45 is a decent t-case, chain driven, but finding the shift linkage for it may be hard if you don't already have that.

You can find some good tech info in the How-To & Tech Articles forum under the link to "Miesk5Homepage" on tranny and t-case mods, and I think there's also a link to t-case descriptions from truckpulls.com.

IF the trans was a 4wd unit, the t-case would bolt up fine. most if not all ford t-cases sport the same bolt pattern. example, you could conceivably bolt a NP203 to an E4OD. i believe that the tailhousing on the C6 will unbolt, and you should be able to slide a 4wd style tailhousing on the end and mate up the t-case. i cannot remember off the top of my head whether or not the tailshaft spline count and length are the same between the two, however. like JSM said, make sure you have your shift linkage issues shorted out also. each trans/t-case combo has a specific linkage bracket that bolts to the trans housing and that bracket might not match up exactly to a different trans

on a bronco, that would not be a smart idea unless you extended the wheelbase alot. think about how steep your rear d-shaft angle would be
