1995 Bronco 351 W 200,000 miles ever since ive had this truck (3years) ive had starting issues, ill start off with what ive replaced relating to the starting issues. NEW plugs (motorcraft platinum), wires (ford racing 9mm), distributor, distributor cap and rotor (motorcraft), coil (msd blaster), new starter, alternator, battery, k&n intake, cleaned TB, new egr, new fuel pump (replaced 3 times, 2 were defective), fuel filter and pressure regulator. ive had injectors replaced as well. All of these were replaced because either i wanted it to be or it needed it. The starting issue i have is on a cold start i havent driven all day. The engine will rotate 5 or 6 times before turning over, and intermitently will "kick" i guess you can say 2 or 3 times (like it wants to turn over) before it actually does. Then once it does turnover immediately i have low rpms, not higher rpms due to the fact its a cold start. Now if i drive it and im out driving and it sits 20-30 minutes and the engine is still hot. It starts perfect with mabye 1 rotation of the engine. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, i have a code reader to double-check and nothing. it also hesitates if i punch it a little bit on a cold engine (i have to cross 2 lanes of traffic to get going the right way to work). but when the engine warms up the truck has lots of power i can pass any cars even though this thing has a 6'' lift with big ass tires. ive also double checked the battery terminals and the starter relay is new too. Do you think i should replace the entire battery cables going to and from the battery? Any suggestions greatly appreciated! i also use 5w-30 Mobil 1 extended performance (full-synthetic) oil and a motorcraft filter if that helps. most of the vaccum lines have been replaced, i disconnect them and connect a pump to them to check for a leak.
Im trying to put a remote start viper alarm system on and the starting program has to time the starter on how long to start the truck for so this must be fixed before i can put it on.
