Gutless wonder

I got a 90 eddie bauer bronco with a 351 and an a40d tranny. bout 3 months ago she became gutles when one night i was fixing the wheel lock cylinder and my horn went off... my buddie unhooked my battery and when we were all done i hookd the battery back up and she startd fine but when i went to go to the store she just had no power off the line until i hit bout 3000 rpms.. then shed throw u in your seat. i replace fuel filter, fuel pressure than on the fuel rail. plugs wires cap and rotor. ive even tried a new battery. after all this the other day i was driving to I.B. from lakeside when she wouldnt even hold 70 mph. she slowly got worse and worse until she died. then when i started her u pshe ran fine for 3 seconds then acted liek she was outa gas... i chekd for codes and none came up. i waited 20 minutes started her up and she drove fine just gutless...

check your alternator. if it dies shortly like mine did when i had the same problem. check for any major draws of power besides lights,heat, start at your alt. rip it off take it to your local AAP, or schucks, or autozone or whatever and they'll test it for free.

thnx but we ried that and the ground strap. its got spark the only thng left is the fuel pump. i went by where i parked it and tried to start it and the fuel pump made a god awful noise. so i thnk i found my problem. lol

i fixd the problem it was the fuel pump
