Hi,

I just bought an 1989 Bronco (Fullsize) for the moderate price of 100$. I has not been used for like 5 years and last time it passed the yearly inspection was in 2005. It failed the inspection 2006 with too high emissions.

It has a fair bit of rust and the engine dosen't run. The windsield has a big crack and the rear windows is a bit of plywood.

My plan is to get it to run and pass the inspection.

Here are some pics

the white one is mine.

Cheers

Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! There are a couple of recent topics about starting up a vehicle that has been sitting for a few years, those might help you before you try to start the engine. Good luck with the Bronco, JSM84

Hi Micael, I visited Sweden several times while in the US Army. Beautiful County and Great People. Hope you have as much fun with your '89 as I do...although its kind of a LOVE/HATE relationship.

US Army, in Sweden??? :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I tought we had our own army.....

Sweden is a good country to live in, but the summer is short and the winter is long, cold and dark. I have been to the states a couple of times and i just love CA.

I wouldn't mind to move there.

On the other hand, it can be fun to drive in the snow :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

The plan is to start fixing the Bronco after the hollidays.

I don't worry so much about the engine, i'm more worried about windshied (cracked).

I suspect it will be expensive to change. And i need to change it in order to pass the yearly inspection.

Hi again Micael...Guess I should have been a little more clear. I was stationed in what was then West Germany. My family and I spent 3 differnt tours there off and on from 1975 thru 1990. We took some family trips to Sweden, Denmark and the north of Germany. Like I said before I always liked Sweden and the carefree and friendly people. The best part was the people there took you at face value. Loved it in the summer but no thanks to the winter, Germany was bad enough. Have fun with you Bronco. BYE FOR NOW!!
