What do you mean restrictors? Coming off the collectors is the y, then 2 cats, then the muffler. The sensor is a o2 sensor and is not something you should take out cause it can make it idle weird and be doggy.

If you've messed with the O2 sensor, you might as well replace it. O2 sensors in my experience can be very touchy.

Depending on the year of the truck theo original equipment either has a two (2) catalytic converter system or a single (1) system that are installed between the Y and the muffler. In some systems you will also find a small one on each side of the Y called a LOC, (Light Off Catalyst). In the case of the cat system following the Y pipe, they do the same thing, the single system just combines the functions of the older style (2) cat system into one enclosure. That all depends on what was available at the time or what was selected by the engineering department. If you install an aftermarket system from your local friendly parts store, you will most likely get a single cat. system with an extender pipe for the air inject system.

The front half of the two section or the 1 enclosure system is called a TWC, (Three Way Catalyst), it reduces Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Oxide. The second half of that system is a COC, (Conventional Oxidation Catalyst), it further reduces Hydrocarbons and Carbon Monoxide, this section is the part that controlled air is injected into to help it convert those chemicals. If LOC is installed, it is there for conversion during engine warm up to reduce emissions while the main converter system is comming up to temperature.
