I have a 1990 302. I replaced the gas tank, pump and sending unit, I put about 4 gallons of gas in it and moved it around my yard today. After about a minute the the gauge jumped around from near empty to a quarter, half and full tank. What the **** is wrong with it?

Yah, thinking about it, you may have a rub thru short on the positive side that is touching the frame someplace.
