Probably the sending unit, but it is inside the tank. YOu have to drop the tank to replace it. Before I did that, I'd check the wires and connection to the tank.

Looking at the prices for new tanks and sending units It may not be a bad Idea for me to replace an almost 20 year old gas tank anyway.....lol

That's what I did and put a new skid plate on it in the process.

don't worry about it. bronco's are notorious for have the fuel level sending units crapping out on them. just take note of your avg. MPG, do some low level math, and watch your trip meter. at least thats what i do, hasnt failed yet

Does it work at all? Mine stays up high until about 6 gallons left. Not too bad to work with. After that, it seems fine.

I had to drop my tank to fix it. I used epoxy resin because I didn't have enough money and I needed it done right then. The sender unit was rusted into place and couldn't get it out for anything.
