under accel. my 351 makes a clicking noise coming from the right floor bord personally i think theres a hole in the y pipe or a hole in the cat,but just wanted a second opinion from friends,

Two things, possible cracked maniflold/blownout maniflold gasket. or the air injection tube that goes into the exhaust, the clamp broke and is now rusted and leaking :blink:

a ticking or clicking sound is usually an exhaust leak. it will be worse at start-up on a cold engine. Check the manifolds first, listen to them with a 3-4 ft piece of rubber hose ( like a garden hose) with the engine running. Put one end on the manifold, the other to your ear. This "stethoscope' method works greta for diagnosing weird sounds, just be very careful around the fan and moving parts or hot parts. JSM84
