so you just put a new tank in, and you put 3 gallons in, or 33? its not going to be a really fast process, 33 gallons is alot of fuel to dump. if it was only 3 gallons, you definitely have a plugged tank vent somewhere. they are cheap and easy to replace

Hi I have a 1990 and put a fuel pump in to find out that it was o.k. and I needed to replace the eec iv. now I have an idle problem that after it goes through the warm up cycle thr idle get really erratic never going higher than base idle but almost to the point of stall, I thought that maybe I put the fuel tanks vent valve in reversed.

Is it dirctional or not..its the only thing that I could have touched and have not checked yet.

Any idea.

Dan

did you replace the sock in the tank with the filter? have you checked the fuel filter itself? also check your fuel pressure at the rail to make sure it's good. you could have got a bad pump.
