I replaced both pumps in my 1988 ford bronco 2, a friend bought so i did it as a favor. It still wouldn't start so he took it to Christian Brothers they said it was a fuel problem but was to much for him to fix. I am getting it back now and he cant remember what the part was. Only that the part at auto zone was around $100.00. It will turn over if carburetor cleaner is sprayed in the intake then it dies. He told me the part but I forgot the name as well. Fuel filter was also replaced. I am short on money so I cant afford to take it back to a mechanic.

this is a post I wrote for trouble shooting no fuel pressure situations

http://broncozone.com/topic/22512-no-fuel-pressure-diagnostics/

I would check for fuel pressure first thing and throughout the process, if you don't have one they're not that expensive and/or you can borrow one from a friend.

I have bought and sold many vehicles, when you sell something in "as is" condition once its off your property its not your responsibility anymore, even if you sold it to a friend.
