OK we need some more info here . You say the pump is ok and working ? How do you know that without power there ? . There are 2 relays on the drivers side mounted to the side of a big fuse box there . If they havent been changed before there is a gren one aqnd a brown one . I cant remember right now and Im at work so I cant look it up but one of them is for the fuel pump it is a normal thing for them to go bad . Also there is a fuse for the fuel pump in the dash panel fuse box . If the fuse is good more than likely the relay is bad . Some vehicles also had an inertia switch if it got bumped hard this switch disengages the fuel pump in the event of an accident . Make sure if you have one that it isnt tripped I believe theres a red reset button on the switch . Hope that helps . If you still cant figure it out Ill check with my buddy that works at ford he told me that 2 of the wires in the test port on the drivers side if jumped together will cause the fuel pumps to run ( pulls in that relay ) So if your still having problems Ill check with him and gt back to ya . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

I believe thaty the inertia switch in your truck is under the dash on the driver side. It is a squarish device with two wires and a reset button on it. They have been known to go bad and drive people nuts trying to figure out what is goning on. also I believe that you have two fuel pumps in that truck, a low pressure pump in the tank and a high pressure pump outside the tank.

Also please only post your questions in one forum, thanks. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Good luck,

:)>-

Hey guys im having exact same problem it first happened about month ago the truck just died adn the fuel pumps would start up when i turned the key. I messed with it for a week i changed a relay that i though was fuel pump relay it was the grat and black relay it didint help then i took it to shop and he said it turned out to be computer relay wich is the brown relay and that fixed the problem. Now a week ago it shut off again so i assumed ill get another brown relay and fix it. well went to junk yard and yanked one off differnt bronco hooked it up and still nothing as far as i can tell there is 3 relays that look similar and differ in color the brown is computer relay and im assuming the gray and black is fuel pump relay also there is a green relay i havent messed with mine because i dont know what it is for im thinking of getting another green relay from Jyard also and hope it works i have checked both my pumps and they both work they just arent getting power i checked all my fuses and inertia switch so only thing left i havent changed or checked is that green relay i would appriciate it if somone could please tell me what that relay is for. Thanks

supposadly its not the comp relay

i have a mechanic friend who is getting me a special wiring diagram

so i can chase the prob

the prob is not no power just lack of power

and if there isnt a certain amount it wont get past the relay
