Okay, I have the adjustable fuel pressure regulator on my Bronco along with 24# injectors and all the other good stuff. I'm running the EEC IV Speed Density system with it as well. I have not been able to come up with a good pressure number for my aplication. I know that stock is 37PSI at the regulator if I remember correctly and I was thinking 40 or 41 PSI would do it. I'm planning on getting a guage on it today or tomorrow (as long as the shop isnt full) and properly adjusting it. I'm running super rich right now too but still getting about 10 or so miles to the gallon and that's what I've always gotten. Anyone have any idea of what a good setting would be for this? Thanks in advance...

yo;

in Reply Mode, I can not view your year & all da Mods you have done so far, so please IGGIE anythAng that does not apply to your B...esp, MAF..etc.so...

Try to figure this chart out;

Fuel Pressure, Perfect Source: by Fireguy50 (Ryan M)

& I highlighted your PSI and the PSI by Ryan, so you're in right range for changing the PSI...and by Ryan..."Fuel pressure is typically regulated to 39PSI (270kPa) more than manifold pressure. As idle vacuum lowers the manifold pressure, fuel pressure is lowered to match. If you have a Super/Turbo Charge, as boost increases, fuel pressure increases to match..."

&...

Read it, some good tips, but, some thAngs that aren't supporting these changes..sorry my friend, unless you have more projects that he includes..or Super Charging, cam changes, etc...

"Changing fuel pressure

This is something only needed for real big plans

40PSI can make 500 rear wheel horse power"

All the mods are: Edlebrock performer intake, twin 56mm throttle body, my heads were "true shaven" along with the deck of my block geting trued, I have stock size valves but my heads and itake were "gasket matched," stock bore and stroke but hypereutectic pistons moly rings all stock size, my cam is 260/270 advertised intake/exh. duration with a .448/.472 lift with a 112* lobe sep, along with 1.7 roller rockers and valve springs to hold up to a .512 lift. It is not MAF and where do you get a high pressure guage that was braught up? We were going to use an inline guage but I was notified yesterday it goes to 15 PSI so that does me no good. Any help is appriciated.

Since I have the "non functioning" cowl hood with only a small hole under it (I believe just to release some of the heat and it works) I want to mount guages like that under it so it's out of the way but still visible to the driver. The main reason is all the horor stories of broken fuel/oil psi lines. I would rather not have the blow inside my truck. Thanks for the info...

ok B,

yw

I am considering a similar install for oil pressure gauge; using a PY Trans Am hood tach housing; Classic Industries also had one on their catalog, but it is gone now.
