I have an 87 bronco 5.0HO EFI and an AOD, It will set and idol fine revs kinda low in the rpm's, but when you give er gas it's real hesitant, and if you don't give it gas when you shift to (D) it will stall every time, will also stall if you turn the wheels real sharp without giving it gas.. I think it's the fuel pump, it makes a wining noise when it's running from the tank. I talked to some people who told me to check the fuel pressure-and the vacuum to see if they are weak, but I don't know how much FUEL PRESSURE i should have, or VACUUM either.. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME HELP, IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

yo,

Do you have a Check Engine Light?

As far as the fuel pressure goes, 35-41 psi w/ the key on - engine off; or running at idle..this agrees w/Chilton Manual for your year.

& 59 to 62 PSI w/da regulator un-plugged from the vacuum source.

and:

" A high pressure fuel tester must be connected to the fuel relief valve on the fuel rail ( a Schrader valve). First relieve fuel system pressure, then attach the tester. Next, turn the key on (engine off) to prime the fuel system. There should be 36-42 PSI of pressure. Start the engine. The pressure at idle should remain within the same range. Rev the engine a few times to ensure fuel pressure remains constant. Excess pressure usually determines a faulty FPR (check FPR's diaphram for leaks due to a rupture of the diaphram; disconnect da vacuum line from the FPR if any fuel in the line, then diaphram is ruptured ). Too little pressure could be the FPR, fuel filter, fuel pumps, or a leak."

Man , Replace your damn vaccum lines. My trucks a 89 and when I pulled the motor I took of all the vaccum lines and looked at them, all had at least 3-4 cracks in them in different spots, the thing ran fine but the idle would go low then high a few times then it would either steady out or stall one or the other. It always stalls when I pull into my driveway or a parking spot and put it in park. I did everything, pumps, tsp, relay, sensors, pulled the intake and cleaned it nothing fixed it. I pulled the motor last week to clean it up and put main bearing in it and now Im going to replace ALL the vaccum lines.
