I have a 1994 Bronco that is having massive front end vibration issues. At first it was just a humming sound, which I knew where the front bearing, so I just replaced the inner and outer bearings and changed out the automatic hubs to manual locking hubs. Now it vibrating really bad and making a humming loud humming sound till I hit about 45-50MPH and then it will stop, it also doesn't do it when I am at the lower speeds and I take my foot off the gas and just coasting. About ready to lose my mind with this beast of a truck. Any ideas on what it could be would be very appreciated.

Hey k, welcome,

Humming noises are usually associated with bearings. However many other parts in your front end can have issues.  Your entire front suspension and steering should be checked for any loose or worn parts. The U-joints could be worn as well.  If that has been done and corrected the inner bearings in the front diff. could be the problem.

You didn't say if the vibration was felt in the steering wheel or the brake pedal as well.   Let Us know.

Good Luck.

The vibration is not felt in the break pedal, it is felt in the gas pedal when I am giving it throttle but none when I let off and let her coast. There is a little shake in the steering wheel but it's been like that from the first day I bought it clear back in 2001.

As Ron said above.  just a thing to make sure was properly done when replacing bearings.

Did you tighten the hub nuts according to spec?  The hub nut should be tightened to 150fp while wiggling the rotot to make sure the bearings seat properly, and then backed off only enough to get the locking ring *** to just detent in a notch on the nut.  Then tighten the retaining nut to 50fp.

Vibrations like that can also be caused by tire balance.
