front doors

I have a set of front doors from my 93 that are cherry and the ones on my 88 are from a 79 have heard that they do not interchange any one tried or done it if it makes a differance all are power window and dont care about the mirror style if it was a problem then thats easy anyway

for that matter does any one have a hollender interchange book or at least know of a site that explains the diferrences between years not just the sales pitch part

All the doors interchange from 1980 to 1996 the ones you say are from a 79 must be from a very early 80 build with the new body style I do have a 78 here and will look but Im sure there a different design . The doors from 1980 to mid 1992 have the hoop style mirrors and 1980 to 1991 have steel rods for the linkages inside the door 1992 and up have the sport mirror and have a cable inside the door istead of the steel rods . Your 93 doors will work just fine on your 1988 , There are no body line differences in the doors there were some without vent window . Tha cabs also interchange from 1980 to 1996 only difference being the style of the dash but it unbolts pretty easy. /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

got frustrated as I need the 93 gone so went ahead and did it and honestly did not think I would like the "new" doors on the beast but the look pretty damn good now that I only have 2 colers on my truck ...LOL

anyhow the old doors were from a 78-79 bronco or F-150 the guy at the yard I got them from actually called me when the truck came in so I new he had a good set now they are up for grabs
