The motor doesnt care what its powering so it will work . On that year though you will have to pay attention to what flywheel you use as long as the 302 is after 80 or so it should have the light crank so it will use the same flywheel as you have now if your using an older 302 then you will have to use the flywheel for that year as they are weighted different . The only other thing you may have to mess with is the oil pan but if it is different you can just use the one you have now and youll be all set . Any other questions feel free to ask . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

That's correct, I might add a few suggestions. IF you want to remain stock and use the original ECM, wiring harness, tranny, etc. then look for the same cid motor it had originally from a 92-95 F-150/Bronco 4WD or rebuild the stock motor. If you are going to the trouble of doing a swap, look at a Mustang 302 H.O. or at least a 302 set-up with Mass Air instead of your stock speed density system. Of course a 460 cid will fit but take alot more work!!! There's tons of info on the web if you do a search, or if you have a specific choice post it here and someone will give you more info.

OK that ford dealer you called either just got done hitting the crack pipe or let me guess hes got a crate motor he will make you a really good deal on . LOL There is absolutely NO physical difference in a 2 wheel drive motor and a 4 wheel drive motor . The transmissions are different but not at the motor end . The tranny still bolts to the motor with 6 7/16-14x2.5 hex head bolts . Bolt pattern is the same regaudless 2 or 4 wheel drive . The other end of the tranny on a 4x4 has an adapter housing that allows it to be bolted to the transfercase and a 2 wheel drive has a tailhousing that accepts the driveshaft yoke . The only difference that a motor might have between 2 and 4 wheel is the exhaust manifolds and they may be at a different angle to clear the front driveshaft but the bolt pattern that holds them to the head is the same for a 289/302/351W so no matter what motor you get 289,302,351W the manifolds you have will bolt right to it . The only other concern you might have is the oil pan but this is just for crossmember clearance . I have used a fox body ( mustang, capri ) car pan in a truck of the 80 to 96 year range and it works just fine just a pain to get to the front oil drain bolt . 302 and 289 use the same pan but a 351W is special to itself as the rear oil pan lip is bigger . Hope that helps any other questions just ask . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
