We all know our windshields do fold down, but how many people do it. I think very few. I have twice in the last three years, but I had too put the mex blanket I keep in the truck on the hood too keep the paint and wipers from getting wrecked and then put a strap over it so it does not bounce around. Is there a kit made has bumpers and a tie down of sorts? Or should I come up with some thing and write a tech article.

I know there are special hand screws made by bronco parts people(too make it easy too lower), but what do we do when its down?

A good pair of wrap around sunnies(glasses) and the wind shield down and the top off on a dirt road, throwing dust around the corners or mud sounds like the perfect day in our broncos.

If I remember right, some 66-68s had a latch on the top of the windshield and a hook on the hood made specifically for that. I just gotta find the link to something with it. It was kind of like the J**p style.

Dont you hate it when they call your personally crafted Bronco a j**p, it happens too me at least half the time. It happened too me at the az dept of motor viechles for an inspection.

I run the bronc thru the sand down by the colorado river in the summer and when its 110 out, you must be in the water on a boat or in the wind ,aka front window down.

I was just looking at my sliding window doors ( in the house ) they have a nice bumper that could be cut too fit and with a boat type clasp and a pin the screen could be lowered and clamped secure for max fun in the bronco with no damage!

That is if you dont mind more holes in the sheet metal, mines a beater I dont care, any ideas or thoughts?

Since nobody seems to have done it or come up with a better idea, it probably is up to you to invent a better mouse trap B)

Good luck,

:)>-
