Anyone else get a recall from Ford? The recall states that the speed control causes fire, even if the truck is not running!!! Anyone have any problems with this? I had a puff of electric smoke acouple months ago, but fire..... I checked with the local Ford dealer and they were EXTREMELY anxious to get my truck in there shop that day. I know the recall covers 94 Broncs... If you all have not gotten a recall yet check it out with Ford- The service writer said this is also a problem on the F150 and 250 of certain years. If you think your truck may be part of this recall- disconnect the speed control at the master cylinder till you find out for sure

yes the recall cover 94-2002 bronco, f150, and expeditions. what happens is the switch can leak over time and when it leaks to electical pert causes spark and fire. it does this with ignition switch on or off because it is constantly hot all the time.
