Finnaly, after fighting my 89 Bronc for months it is running like top. Right after I baught my truck it developed an erratic idle, it would jump about 200-300rpms. So I took it in to ford and they ended up changin the IACV and a bunch of other stuff but it still didn't rid of it, so I just gave up and lived with it. Now just recently my truck would be running really rough when cold, as if the thing was flooding its self with gas. Then after school one day i started it and let it run for a bit cause it was cold but when i want to move it, it spudered and died and would not start again. So i got it into a shop and we figured it was really flooded so we took out the spark plugs put new ones in and it fired right up, had to change the oil to cause it had alot of gas in it. Then it happend again it flooded again, wouldn't start so i took it to ford again and told them its flooding its self, turns out it was the fuel pressure regualtor it was stuck wide open and letting 85psi of gas into each cylinder. So they put in a new regulator and wow what a diffrence, its got so much more power now, doesn't blow balck exhaust, and doesn't have that erratic idle anymore. I'm so happy just to get rid of that erratic idle cause that drve me up the wall for months.
