If you have 4 shocks up front you have it. Theres 2 per wheel, one on each side of the coil.

if you really want you can add it. the top spring buckets are available at jeffs bronco graveyard. and the rear most shock mounts onto the radius arm with a small bracket. Ive got one truck with and one without. cant say ive ever noticed a difference.

Here's a sharper pic of my 84 Bronco, withthe Skyjacker 6" lift kit and quad front shocks:

liftkit9.jpg

The front, longer shock that mounts at bottom to a stud on the front of the axle beam is the primary/ main shock, just like the single front shock set-up. The shock rearward of the wheel is the helper or auxillary shock, mounted at bottom to the radius arm and shorter than the front one. I've seen some guys leave the aux shock out when they install a lift kit, and just run one front shock per wheel. Saves money for the two additional aux shocks, but makes the ride slightly different/ harsher than with both shocks per wheel. What I liked about having two shocks per wheel is when the front-lower shock stud breaks off, you still have the aux to help out. JSM84

You're right about that! Both studs on my Bronco broke off when I was replacing the shocks. I drove with just the auxillary shocks for a couple days until I found some good bolts to replace the studs. It's not a very smooth ride with just the auxillaries.

the quad shock option is also usefull for snow plows and buckets and such. it makes the ride a little more bumpy to me.
