Just wanted to let everyone know, I thought I had a short, my third light (led) wouldn't turn off when key was on. My in dash t.v. Wouldn't turn on when key was on, and my tranny was shifting funny . Not bad just different. All this and 2 weeks of research to find out it was my led brake lights . Too low of resistance.....freakin A man.... Very frustrating. Thought I'd share. Try to save some other pour soul some grief..

This shelps this case for 92-96 and maybe earlier years w/E4OD;
Multi-Function Switch (MFS), Hazard & Brake Light MAY Disengage E4OD Torque Converter Lock-up; "...I was living with the torque converter unlocking with the R/H turn signal. And low and behold after I changed the L/H brake/turn signal bulb the torque converter stopped unlocking with the R/H turn signal. Don't ask me but it did fix it..."

always thought it was odd, but my truck does unlock the converter with the flashers... Also does it with the right hand turn signal...
the brake light and turnsignal is the same light and the same wire. So when you turn on the 4 ways the computer thinks you got your foot on the brakes and your stopping.
If it happen when you turn the right or left turnsignal on then you have A bad turnsignal swich or a wireing problem
i used to have this happen on my 95, and i figured that my 3rd brake light harness was melted causing some kind of short, after i made the repair it worked like a charm and my cruise control started working again

For now I just put the regular 3157 bulbs in. When I get a chance, i will buy some with resistors or put some in line .Thanks for the report. What did you do to correct the problem?
