Looking to replace a 1988 302 with a 1990 302 1988 is a bronco and 90 is a from a f-150. My question is this will be a straight swap won't it? I know it would be different if it was a H.O. out of a mustang and i would need to change probably wiring and computer. Local macanic said $650.00 because of all the brackets and stuff to swap out. I think he is just looking for Christmas money. Thanks

I would like to think that it should be the same since i'm in a similar situation. Have an 88 that needs a motor also. The only thing I can think of is that he's expensive on labor costs, since most mechanics are, and if there is any parts that need to be replaced (i.e water pump, gaskets, tune up parts etc.)
