Hey all, I have a 86 Full size Bronco with the original 5.0 motor. I just snapped the crank in it and have a chance to get a 5.0 out 0f a 96 explorer. Can anyone tell me if this will work. I know the engine will fit but not sure about the wiring? Thanks

as long as you keep swipe all the electronics under the hood, like the computer, power distribution, relays. everything. Mark any connections that have to come apart, then its just a matter of power supply, ground, and that everything is connected properly.

the tricky part is fusing the old school systems with the new school electronics, ie gauges and such. that you need to chat up someone with more expertise on the subject.

I know the only main things are voltmeter if you want it back, coolant temp, and oil pressure, the rest like speedo, and fuel are self contained and have nothing to do with the new systems.

good luck

Cheers
