engine removal

Hi all!! Have a 1990 bronco with a 5.8l 351, need to replace crank and lower end. Am planning on pulling engine, any suggestions or ideas that might help

If you've never pulled one before, be careful and think SAFETY! Marking things like wire connections, etc., take pics. before you start, and get zip-lok bags for nuts, bolts, etc., and LABEL them. Don't forget to capture all fluids that you'll be draining, and Don't re-use any of them.

If you unbolt the engine from the tranny, you will have to support the front of the tranny so it does drop down an the torque convertor falls off. I would replace the front seal on the tranny while you have the engine out. Takes about 10-15 minutes to do and will save some headaches down the road.
