engine oil burning

89 bronco 300 six 4spd manual

when i get into the gas to accelerate up a hill i get a nice burning oil smell.

any ideas?

hmmm. maybe check your oil pan gasket and see if it is leaking when your going up hill, or is it coming out of your exhaust pipe??

Give a look at the valve cover gasket...above the exhaust hedder.

Yep, it sounds like it is leaking down onto your crossover pipe and burning off. Check for evidence of oil on the exhaust system.
