i just had my engine rebuilt, 89 bronco 351, i dont like the work eems im alsays brining it back, now when i am stopped with it in drive and i have the breaks on, i get a rattling sound from ender where the shifter for the transfer case, my motor mounts are new, basically everything is newmaster rebuild kit, idle air valve, piston kit, camshaft, pcv valve, wires plugs, starter solenoid, exhaust manifold, engine mounts, seems it runs rough, this cost me alot, and it still seems to run rough also, i really wanna find this noise, only does it when im stoppped and its in drive, also i was broke and needed an exhaust, they just cut off the second cat converter put a cheap looking muffler and a tail pipe, will this also make it run like crap :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Exhaust pipes are a common cause of noise and often only certain conditions. Get under the truck ans check along the pipe. You will probably find place where either the pipe, cat, or muffler is too close to the frame. I know I have to very careful of how things are positioned or I get the same problem. You need atleast a 1/2 inch clearance. You may have to loosen clamps and shift things a bit.

A two cat converter system needs both cats to function properly and the air inject is in between them. A single cat is infact both cats in the same case with the air inject on the cat between the two sections. If the cat they left on is clogged, it could sure cause running problems. I doubt that the truck would pass emissions testing as it is.

Good luck,

:)>-
