So while trying to find parts for the different projects I have ventured into with my rig, I have come to the realization that the engine and trannie definitely are not original. I have found a few ways to identify each part, but need to know what does this mean?? Any problems it may cause and what to do about the parts I have already installed or the parts I need to be sure to order from in the future??

Engine Block Part #: D20E-6015-AB

Transmission Part #: C8ZP-7D027-A

Looks like a 1972 Engine and a 1968 Transmission. Is this correct? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I'm guessing this is why I've had problems in the past with certain parts not fitting correctly. Guess from now on I'll have to be sure and use these years when getting parts!

I don't think there's any diff.  between '68 thru '73 ( eng. or trans) but doesn't hurt to double check.

In '69 the eng. went to 302 but doesn't affect you.
