Can anyone offer advise on how to provide power to the electric choke on a 4-bbl carb? The factory set-up on the 84 had a lead clipped into the back of the alternator (which I replaced with a bolt-on connector years ago), then the wire ran around the engine bay to a relay, then back around to the carb. What a sorry-POS engineering idea IMO, and I'm replacing the factory wiring with a new, universal harness. I still need a new relay for the electric choke, looking for suggestions or pics of how you've done it, JSM84

Even through a relay its still going to be 12 volts you may have meant resistor but it is not needed there supposed to run off 12 wolts normally there attached to the field wire on the alternator ( Hmmm maybe stator ) but anyway the wire is hot with the key . Anywhere you put 12 volts to it with the key youll be fine :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
