EGR Valve Issues.

hey guys, been a long time since ive been on here...here's my new bronco issue: i had a code stating the egr valve was stuck in the open position, so i went ahead bought a new egr valve...replaced it as needed. still throwing code...soo i figured hey, its a 93, maybe the egr valve position sensor has gone bad, so, i bought a new one of those, and yet still the code is still being thrown...what the heck do i do. i want this damn check engine light off and i want the egr to be functional. any suggestions to my problem?

What was the Code #?

There are a few Codes that are attributed to EGR Valve opening/closing when it's not suppoosed to do so, such as;

Continuous Memory DTC 332 indicates the EGR valve did not open with the engine stabilized and the EVR solenoid duty cycle present sometime during vehicle operation. Possible causes:

Obstructed or cracked hose to EGR valve, Icing, Damaged EGR valve, Damaged EVR solenoid harness

and indicate if the Code was found in KOEO or KOER test.

o the KOEO = Key On Engine Off portion first & Remember to have engine @ Normal Operating Temperature before doing the KEY ON ENGINE RUNNING (KOER) portion

yeah thats the problem. the only scan tool i have access too is the cheap one at O'Reileys/NAPA. i have a MODIS up at school but will not be there untill the 22nd.i wish i could tell u the number of the code, but i dont have it. the code is definately still active, not turning on check engine light untill about 1/4 mile down the road and she comes on and stays on. i turned the truck on when i had the egr valve off and there was air flow thro the egr tube. so its not entirely blocked off. will restrictions in the tube cause this problem?

well i fixed the problem...vacuum canister had 2 half dollar size rust hold in it, didnt have the cash so i soldered as much as i could and wraped her up with 2 rolled of electrical tape. egr system is functional now. i know its not a permanent fix but it will work till i get a new cannister. allthough i did find a cream colored plastic vacuum line on the passenger side of engine compartment, leading no where, looks as if it were cut, i spend 2 1/2 hours searching online and around the truck so see where it should go and i could figure it out. engine lights off now too...any idea's?

I have a white/cream color vacuum line on the passenger side. It was broke and I fixed it a while back. I had been having problems with my heater controls and the venting not switching properly before I fixed it, so I assume it was to those controls.
