I heard from a fellow co-worker that I could just put a EGR block off plate on the Bronco. It's an 88 with a 351. I keep getting a 33 code on it and can't figure it out. But if I put that block off on it, I will still have a "engine" light right?

My other question is....does anyone have the starting point to where the EGR valve gets it's vaccuum? Would like to run a new line directly to that point to see if it helps.

Thanks

You can't just run a vacuum line direct to the EGR. It must come via the EGR controls. The EGR isn't supposed to work at all times and needs the controls to make it function correctly. You may have either a bad EGR or a bad EGR Position sensor.

You should have a vacuum diagram on the right front radiator support that shows where the lines go. The EGR lines are color coded green.

If you want to get rid of the EGR, you can get a bypass kit that will keep the computer happy.

Good luck,

:)>-
