The gains won't be that big but you'll notice a difference in the why she runs...a little better response on the thottle a little more grunt in the seat of your pants....but really maybe between 2 and 5 horsepower...not real big #'s but every little bit helps.... B)

Damn thats it? I thought there would be more then that. Owell its not that big of a deal though, when i get it rebuilt i planned on punchin it out .30 over with some flat top pistons and a heavier cam, thats the short version. It should be a pretty tourqey small block once im done with it. :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Sounds like a plan...i took my 351 when i rebuilt it and punched it out to 0.40 over...with hyperutics and mild rv cam...long tube headers and 750 holley dual line carb. and afew other mods..and it's a stump puller... B) keep up the good idea's...all you can do is make it better... :)>-

The gains you are looking for won't be found in a Torker II intake. It is a higher RPM intake and doesn't start kicking in until like 4500 RPM. However a Performer RPM series intake comes in at 1500 RPM thru 6500 RPM which is exactly in your engines power band. If you are making these upgrades on a stock motor the driveability and Throttle response are what are going to impress you not the actual power number. I did these on an '86 F350 (see my signature) and got 2 MPG better gas mileage and more power to spin the tires(and really thats what everyone wants)

Look at the PErformer #2181, that's what I had in the 84 Bronco on the 351W H.O., before the 460 swap, JSM84

The performer is considered Smog Legal but I have heard that in other states and even CA a Performer RPM will pass smog. Also the thunder AVS carb you mentioned seems like overkill. a Performer series basic 4 barrel will do you fine. look for electric choke(if your truck had it) and 650 CFM

The emissions dont worry me, i took all that useless junk off my truck and ran nothin but headers and dual Flowmasters. And i was thinkin about Edelbrock Thunders Series but i think imma get a Holley 650 Double Pumper, im also gettin manual choke because after the electric one broke i replaced it with a manual one and i like it better.
